We built Callroom while building HealthFirstAI.
HealthFirstAI meant we were spending a lot of time inside hospitals and talking to doctors. After a while, we had something that felt more valuable than a list of doctors on the internet.
We knew these doctors.
We had met them. We knew where they worked. We knew what they actually did.
So we thought: what if we quietly built a directory of the doctors we had met and verified?
No scraping the internet. No trying to list every doctor in India. Just a small, trusted network of doctors we actually knew.
The product around it was easy enough to build. Profiles, search, symptom matching, booking links.
But we kept coming back to the same question.
What happens when someone searches for a doctor we haven’t met?
We could scrape the internet and fill the gap.
But then we’re back to being another directory, and Google already does a pretty good job of finding things on the internet.
The interesting part of Callroom was never the directory.
It was the trust behind it.
We didn’t have enough verified doctors to make that useful yet.
So we didn’t launch it.
The idea still makes sense to me. We just didn’t have the right starting point.
