Hypothesis, cost to test, signal I’m looking for, kill criteria.

The kill criteria is the column people skip, and the one that matters most. Without it, every experiment quietly becomes permanent, because there’s never a specific, pre-agreed moment to call it. I write the kill criteria before I run the experiment, not after I see how it’s going — otherwise I just move the goalposts to protect something I’ve already gotten attached to.
